Bass mirror, The Stradivarius collection
The classic violin and cello form as we know it was created in Italy before 1700. Possibly the most famous of all luthiers was Stradivarius, who lived in Cremona, Italy from 1644 - 1737. Surviving instruments from this master builder go by their own proper names, and their history is fully documented. No need to say that a Strad is revered by its owner. The classic Stradivarius cello and bass was the inspiration for this collection.  Therefore created was a fanciful, whimsical mint collection of home accessories for lovers of the quirky, classical, and neo-classical. All these objects have been hand made in a musical instrument factory, specializing in stringed instruments. All are finished in hand applied stains and shellac varnishes.
Constructed out of hand carved wood parts of a classic cello. Literally the front section of a bass instrument, lifted off so to speak, opened up and fitted with a mirror. Its sensual shape combines with the rich varnish and superb craftsmanship of a unique accessory, a work of art, signed and dated, offered in a strictly limited edition.
