Macedonian Helmets
Miniature ceremonial bronze helmet from the time of Alexander the Great. Hammered from a single sheet of Bronze, with high crown forming a bird, a scroll type pattern etched into the forehead. The Greeks called themselves Hellenes and their land Hellas. They never formed a national government but were united by a common culture, religion and language. Green patina and earthen encrustations. Very rare.
