Bronze Tibetan Vajradhara seated in Dhyanasana on a lotus throne, hands in blessing manner, left hand holding a small creature, a dhoti with incised hem long sash, foliated jewelry, five leaf crown, the face with a contemplative expression, bow shaped mouth, almond eyes, arched eyebrows. Gold gilding on the face, body, hands and feet. Dark patina.
Ancient Egyptian artifacts scarab
Large light green limestone heart scarab, once placed on the throat, chest, or heart of the Mummy. Some were worn by the deceased on a necklace, or mounted in gold settings as a pectoral. heart scarabs provided the bearer with the assurance that at the final judgment as depicted in the Book of the Dead, the bearer would be found ”True of Voice” and accepted into the eternal afterlife by the God Osiris. At the bottom, six lines of hieroglyphics and Egyptian symbols including a winged scarab, with a beetle on the top. Unusually large and beautiful. 18th Dynasty.
