Egyptian cartonnage fragment with a standing Horus, the Egyptian sky God with the head of a falcon, and Thoth, the God of wisdom with the head of an Ibis, holding an altar with a sun disk and two cobras at the top. The orange, red, green, and black surface secured to the linen base. Two lines of hieroglyphics at the top. Displayed in a shadow box. New Kingdom, 20th Dynasty

Osiris, the husband and brother of Isis, the Goddess who encapsulated the virtues of the archetypal Egyptian wife and Mother, and father of Horus who fought his evil uncle Seth to avenge his death. Dark patina. 26th Dynasty.
Homo Habilis Prehistoric axe
Homo Habilis stone prehistoric hand axe. Fits easily into the palm with indented area for the thumb. These tools were likely used to cut plants or meat but may have also served as weapons when hunting animals for food. Most tools were clearly intended to be used by the bare hands although some were fitted to wooden handles. Great Rift Valley, Africa.
