Sandstone Selket, a scorpion goddess depicted as a beautiful woman with the head of a scorpion who helped women in labor. Her scorpions would strike dead the wicked but she saved the lives of the innocent that were stung.  Stone has age chips and is covered in a light earthen patina. 18th Dynasty.
