Mound builder's Culture. Terracotta pottery with a pedestal base, wide mouth, rolled lip, a band of geometric lines incised onto the surface. The artistry of the mound builders, perhaps reaching a zenith in 1000 - 1500 AD, was devoted largely to luxury goods for the wealthy, many of which they took to the grave. Dark patina.
