Ancient Egyptian sandstone carving wall fragment of an Egyptian ruler in profile in a royal headdress, the Uraeus cobra symbol, associated with the King and Kingdom of Lower Egypt, the hands held in prayer, with Aten, a sun disc with rays which end in hands. Aten was a form of the sun God Ra. During the reign of Akhenaten, the Aten was made the 'King' of the Gods. Light earthen patina. New Kingdom, 18th Dynasty.
