Macedonian Ancient Helmet
Macedonian Bronze helmet from the time of Alexander the Great, worn in the Macedonian Army, used in Ancient Greek warfare. Hammered from a single sheet of Bronze, with high crown, and flaring rim in the back. The ancient Greeks called themselves Hellenes and their land Hellas. They never formed a national government but were united by a common culture, religion and language. Green patina and earthen encrustations. Very rare.
