Bronze vessel with a spherical shape, pedestal base, wide flaring lip and Bronze circular medallions attached to the side, a number of which are now missing. Persian calligraphy is inscribed on the base. At first, Persian script was unwieldy and difficult to read and write. By the 10th Century, punctuation had been developed and the letters streamlined. As artists began to write in a flowing and rhythmic manner, different styles of calligraphy evolved. Covered in a deep green patina.
