Phoenician pottery 800 - 300 BC

The amphora is perhaps the best known and most appreciated of all of ancient man’s artifacts and were used to store oil, honey and especially wine drawn off from large fermenting vats. If you could fly back through time, 1800, 2000, 3000 years, you would see these beautifully shaped pottery jugs in homes, kitchens, marketplaces, warehouses, inns and on board the merchant ships of the Phoenicians, Greeks and Romans. This terracotta wine amphora is carrot shaped, has two handles and comes mounted on a base.
Phoenician antiquities are authentic historical relics and come with a Certificate of Authenticity.
