An ancient solid Silver Alexander the Great drachm struck at the Amphipolis mint sometime between 315 BC and 294 BC. The front carries a likeness of Hercules adorned with the head of the Thespian Lion, the killing of which was one of is great feats. Mounted in a modern Vermeil setting in a 22 karat gold plate finish over pure Silver.
