Bassa Tribe statues Early 1900’s
 
Carved from a solid piece of wood, depicts a nude female standing with legs slightly bent, hands held to the side with palms facing forward. Elongated neck supporting a face with slit eyes and opened mouth with rows of teeth exposed. Body and stomach covered with scarification marks. Natural dark patina. Front portion of each foot broken off.
