Ancient Egyptian Mummified Animal

The ibis was sacred to the Egyptians as the appearance of Thoth, the God of the art of writing. Wherever Thoth was honored, ibises were mummified and placed in tombs. In Sakkara, thousands of such mummies were found. Intricately wrapped in linen and in excellent condition. A rare find for any collector. 18th Dynasty
