Extremely elongated with emphasis on geometric form, Dogon statues were preserved in innumerable sites of worship, personal or family altars, altars of rain, altars to protect hunters, in markets and so forth. Made from bronze, an opened mouth crocodile with a fish in its mouth. Covered in a light earthen patina.
