Egyptian antiquities Palette 3500 BC

Black Basalt Cosmetic palettes were used to grind pigments such as malachite or galena, from which eye-paint was made. This example can be dated to the Naqada II period (c.3500- BC), by which time cosmetic palettes had almost certainly acquired ritualistic or magical connotations. On its underside, an incised row of hieroglyphics.
Egyptian antiquities are authentic historical relics and come with a Certificate of Authenticity.
