Native American Indian pottery 1000 - 1200 AD

Lot of 3 mound builders culture. A name given to Native Americans who built numerous earthen mounds in what is now the Eastern and Central parts of the United States, particularly the Ohio and Mississippi River valleys. The artistry of the Mound Builders, perhaps reaching a zenith in 1000-1500 AD, was devoted largely to luxury goods for the wealthy, many of which they took to the grave. Used as gifts to enhance one’s social and political status, and as ceremonial or religious symbols. Spherical-shaped, wide mouth, rolled lip, dark patina. In excellent condition.
American antiquities are authentic historical relics and come with a Certificate of Authenticity.
