A solid moonstone fragment. The earliest known traditions describe the stone as having been set in the forehead of the four-handed Indian god who typifies the Moon. Partly from its peculiar color, partly from superstition, it represented the feeling and influence of the deity whom it adorned, growing and lessening in luster with the waxing and waning of the moon. In India to this day, it continues to be known as THE MOON-STONE. Very unusual and very beautiful. Approximate weight: 57 Lbs
