This unique mat is coated on both sides with non-stick silicone, allowing for the dough to be rolled out effortlessly. The Roll'Pat is ideal for kneading, beating and rolling dough or working with sugar and chocolate. When rolling out dough on the "top surface" of the mat, there is no need to sprinkle the mat or the dough itself with flour. (note: "Top surface" is stamped with the Roll'Pat logo). the reverse side is skid resistant and secures itself to any working surface. The following are advantages of eliminating the use of flour in the baking Process. The dough is less dry and is smoother The dough is finer looking and retains its glossiness The workspace is cleaner It prevents allergies due to flour dust There is no need to add extra fats to compensate for the flour It is economical Although the Roll'Pat and the Fiberflux Non-Stick baking mat may look the same, in fact they are quite different products. Both can withstand extreme temperature ranges, however, the Roll'Pat is too large for a conventional oven. the Roll'Pat is not designed to be a baking mat and should never be folded or cut in order to fit into a conventional over. Due to its skid resistant properties, the Roll'Pat primary purpose is to provide a large surface for rolling out dough. |
