Greek pottery
Terracotta bottle with one handle at the side, a narrow neck and flaring mouth. Black figures on a red background: a bearded horseman on one side, a bearded philosopher on the other. On the front, a bearded face in low relief. Covered in a light dirt patina.
Egyptian Scarab
Carved large brown limestone heart scarab, once placed on the throat, chest, or heart of the Mummy. Some were worn by the deceased on a necklace, or mounted in gold settings as a pectoral. Heart scarabs provided the bearer with the assurance that at the final judgment as depicted in the Book of the Dead, the bearer would be found "True of Voice" and accepted into the eternal afterlife by the God Osiris. On the top one line of hieroglyphics and Egyptian symbols and hieroglyphics and Egyptian symbols on the bottom. Third Intermediate Period.
